Since my last posting, I added more pictures of my work on my Facebook Wall, made more friends, joined Handmadeology, joined the Beadweavers and the Jewelers Artist's Guild (EJAG) on Etsy, took part on EJAG's Wednesday night chat, and bought a torso to be able to take better pictures of my necklaces. And yet I wonder, how do people keep track of all the computer stuff. I have about six different passwords that I am supposed to keep track of, I have to remember how I got to the Blog site , the EJAG's site, my Facebook and on top of all that frustration, I don't know if anybody reads this............

Maybe I am not the only one, maybe if I am patient "it" will come, but right now it's all too much for me, I think I'll close and go back to my beading. It is the only thing that keeps me calm and centers me. If you happen to read this, please send me a coment

my interest in beads

BEADS....... these shiny little round things with a hole in the middle have played a major role in the cultures of Egypt, China, Africa, Europe and the United States. I became aware of their influence in the U.S. when I learned about a stitch used by Native Americans to weave their ceremonial garments. They called it "peyote" stitch. The question arrises whether they used the stitch while smoking the peyote mushroom, or they called the stitch "peyote" because of its repetitive, calming and meditative nature. Wherever the truth lies, peyote is a strong, versatile and many faceted stitch.

By the way, Native Americans call the stitch "gourd" and resent when we call it peyote.
